Jake, the next Baby Gap Model
Photographing Jake is what I want to do every weekend but unfortunately he is not my child and I don’t have the right to shoot him whenever I buy him new clothes; I mean that’s not what every child wants to be when they grow up anyway.
This shoot was a quick 10 minute session and it was inspired by a Gap Casting Call Contest. I sprung the idea to my sister and she shot him but he wasn’t in the best mood that day. Funny enough most of his clothes I buy him are from the Gap so he looks the part. Jake was a great model, he clapped his hands, he smiled, he smized (or at least I like to think so) and he didn’t fuss at all.
Along with my sister and mom as assistants, I was able to capture the essence of Jake and what I feel the Gap needs in their campaigns. Of course this was just for fun and I was not expecting Jake to be the grand prize winner but if he was, my sis and Jake would be flown to New York and put up in a posh hotel for the weekend. How dope would that be? I can’t wait for Jake to be old enough to stand up so we can get some jumping shots in his Timbaland boots! #soonenough
